Service was for a replacement of our existing HVAC system. Our salesperson was Troy and he and the crew performing the install was fantastic. Troy was honest and up front with what we needed and provided detailed pros and cons with all the options. Did not try to up sell us, but wanted to provide us the best solution for our needs. Troy and the crew (especially Jason the crew lead) were very professional and took the time to answer questions as the install occurred and after installation. Would highly recommend.

Matheson Heating Team provides excellent customer service.We've worked with them for over 14 years. Their team members are very knowledgeable and explain the work to be performed, from a simple seasonal check to issues noted, along with solutions. During this winter's furnace check, Trevor determined the furnace had a serious issue with heat exchange and carbon monoxide levels at the high variable speed. The possible options were described of either repair (rebuild and associated costs/ any remaining warranty) or replacement. Troy was our project manager and he promptly contacted us to better understand our current needs and further explain options associated estimates for repair or replace. Due to the age of our furnace, we went with replacement. The install team of Scott and Jack were punctual and took good care of our home, during the uninstall of old and install of new furnaces, while keeping our Air Conditioner functional. The entire experience was very good from initial scheduling to final repairs. Communication regarding on time arrival times was excellent. Kevin completed multiple repairs in 2 visits due to having to order a part. He did have all other parts on hand. The cost for service, repairs and parts was much more reasonable than any of my past experiences with multiple companies. Kevin clearly explained repairs needed and made sure everything was in good working order before he left. He was very pleasant and great to work with. Aside from being the most professional and knowledgeable heating and cooling company, Matheson truly cares about their clients and their customer service is truly amazing. Brock, Trevor, Jason and the entire team jumped into action to help my 80 year old dad get his heat back on after his crawlspace flooded, and even made it so if it ever does flood again the boiler system wouldn’t be affected. Started getting error codes on my Carrier system thermostat and furnace, so I decided to give Matheson a call. Office staff were extremely polite, professional and accommodating to my last minute no heat service needs. I received text messages from the tech, Derek, prior to his arrival. I am so glad we were recommended by a family member to call Matheson when our furnace died. We had such a great experience from the friendly salesman, Troy, who came to the house within a few hours of our initial call, to all of the guys who spent the following day installing our new furnace and AC unit. Everyone was friendly and knew what they were doing. One of the technicians made sure to explain our new thermostat and helped us get the app downloaded before leaving. Our furnace went out on a Saturday afternoon during one of the coldest days of the year. I called Matheson Heating and one of their servicemen, Devin, got right back with me. He called me back at 6:45 on a Sunday morning and was at the house by 7:30. As it turned out he had to order parts but was back the next day to install them. We called Matheson Heating about the cover on our furnace cold air return. It was loose and made a lot of noise. Kevin came out and took a look at our vent cover and furnace and determined what the problem was. In a very few days, Scott and another Matheson employee came out and fixed it. My parents furnace died with temps in the minus degrees. I called for an evening emergency appt and the tech was there within an hour. He couldn’t fix it so the next morning Kevin was sent out and he fixed the problem. I had a pleasant experience with two professionals. First was Trevor Dodge. He was knowledgeable and put me at ease. I needed extra work as the furnace was in need of repair. He helped me by giving me a rundown of my options and the costs, cleaning the furnace and replacing the filters. The following day, Devin Patrick came to replace the damaged parts of the furnace and was also very knowledgeable. Both of the Matheson employees were very professional and both did an excellent job. Matheson replaced my entire sump pump system today. Primary, back-up and battery. Work was performed by Matheson Technician Brock. Excellent work. Clean work. Brock provided two options for me to select. Brock also provided replacement options for my gas water heater which is 11 years old, while he was here at my house. Answered all my questions. Our furnace died on a Wednesday evening. Matheson came out the next day and determined our 20 yr old furnace was done.Average temperature was 45-50 degrees. They brought us 3 space heaters to get through the day. The new furnace was installed on Friday.The crew was very respectful of our home and cleaned everything up well. Had an amazing experience from the lady in the office who was able to schedule our appointment for 2 days out. I was given a window of 11am - 4pm for someone showing up, but Jeff was amazing and able to cone early which was great as I accidently gave them the wrong information. I said Furnace not a boiler which is what we have. Jeff had to call for back up and Jason came to the rescue. They diagnosed the problem quickly and gave me in depth explanation of what was wrong and how they would fix the issue. Both Jeff and Jason were amazing, super friendly and got the job done quickly and affordable so my family could have heat. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Thank you Matheson and team.

Had an excellent experience getting my HVAC system replaced by Matheson. Rich showed up on time, took the time to understand the issues I was facing with my old existing system and recommended a comprehensive replacement system and provided an offer that was competitive in pricing, warranties, service and installation timing. He also maintained good communication and feedback during our discussions not only initially for the for the system sizing but also to work out small issues after the install.The installation team - Jordan, Dakota, Jack and Jason were also very professional and co-ordinated and went about the installation in an organized fashion. They respected our home, laid out drop cloths and cleaned up the areas before leaving. At the end they ensured everything was upto our satisfaction and explained the working and maintenance of the new system very well. All in all was a very positive experience and I will definitely recommend Matheson for hvac needs.

In 9/2022, I had a new furnace/airconditioning unit installed. Techs were awesome! Free 1-year annual cleaning. Got 6 quotes on the boiler, some were lower and some higher but decided to go with Matheson. Chris showed up on time to quote, and was clearly well versed in boilers and knew exactly what would be best for my situation and what would suit our family most. He's an expert, is trustworthy, and was fair in pricing. On the day of install Chris came out to get his crew going. The crew, led by Jason, were professional, on time and treated the home with care. Chris took his shoes off to walk through the house and Jason put shoe covers on to do a walk through with me. Jason then proceeded to cover up the floors and took care to ensure as little mess as possible was made through installation. The install took approximately 7 hours, and the new setup was superb and works flawlesslyHighly recommend them and will be using them for all my maintenance going forward.

Matheson was my choice based on Chris understanding what I needed and what I wanted on the phone and then coming to quote the job prepared with proper equipment sizing for my home. He made it easy to understand the different equipment options, cost and benefits. He offered next day install which was too fast for me because of being out of town that weekend. That never happens these days! A crew did the install Monday and did a professional install protecting my home, were easy to deal with and cleaned the site upon completion. They even walked me through the equipment and answered questions about setting up my ecobee stat for my new two stage HVAC. Very happy guy here.

We have used Matheson on many occasions for a variety of services and have been extremely satisfied every time. Today they came to repair an outside water tap/valve. This valve had been installed just over a year ago and failed after the winter season. “Just one of those things” that happens through no fault of Matheson or us. Jared and Brock changed it out with no cost for parts or service to us without us even asking for a warranty claim. They are just standup people who do the right thing. Jared has been here several times for other services and is always on time, polite and thorough. When installing a new water heater he went through all of the pipe lines with me explaining which was gas, which was water in and water out. For me this was so helpful. They have also installed a gas line for our range and repaired a gas line connection for our outside grill. There have been several other jobs they have completed for us and it has been easy for us every time. That’s why we continue to use them.

I had an outdoor plumbing faucet replaced today and an indoor shut off faucet replaced by two plumbers from Matheson Plumbing. One informed he is 3rd generation of the founder (his grandfather) in this family business. How nice! They came out right away, were fast in completing the service, did a great job. They found a solution for the faucet lever that greatly improved ease of operation of shutting it off and on every 6 months. Recommended.

Matheson has been wonderful! They responded for an emergency maintenance on a weekend in the middle of winter, which resulted in a new system install later in the week in 6-inches of snow. The follow up customer service has exceeded expectations. They came out twice to fix some leaky PVC joints at no extra cost. Matheson takes care of people!

Melissa in customer service was prompt in responding to our online request for a furnace maintenance and was able to dispatch a technician the same day. Kevin went above and beyond to not only tune up our furnace, but ensured our humidifier was operation properly. Unfortunately we had a faulty control board that had to be replaced unexpectedly, but Kevin took the time to secure the part after hours and ensure our furnace was back up and running that evening. Worked with the manager Todd after the repair on some questions and he was friendly and fair in making sure we were happy. We will certainly be returning customers for subsequent HVAC maintenance.

While on deployment with the national guard I had a small gas leak from the pipe in my kitchen leading to the stove. This section of pipe was actually installed not too long ago by another local company who was supposed to warranty it, but of course didn't honor it. Matheson was recommended to me by the family readiness and support group (a referral that I then got a second opinion on from my buddy at 1800 water damage just to make sure).The company was able to send someone out to fix the issue in a timely manner. They ended up sending Brock and Jake; both were extreamly kind and informative to my wife. It doesn't happen often that my wife will say "you chose a good company" when it comes to home maintenance stuff... But this was one of those times. The work was done quite quickly/efficiently and at a reasonable price. Would not call them the cheapest service but they are definitely not overpriced.

I had Chris from Matheson come and give me a cost to update my HVAC system. It was 10 + years old and needed repairs.. I elected to replace everything. The date the crews were to do the replacement they were prompt I was told 8 AM it was 8 AM the crew members knew what needed to be done one went outside and removed the coolant and unit, one other removed the old furnace another installed the intake and exhaust work. It went like clock work. I could say nothing but perfect. Chris even completed and submitted rebate papers for Detroit and Consumers Power. The local inspector came by the next day and said I don’t know why I follow they guys I never find anything.

The salesperson and supervisor, Chris downs followed up on every detail of the install and explained in depth the efficiency of the furnace. His service was outstanding! Just had my new furnace AC and water heater installed yesterday by Matheson. This has been a very easy experience. Knowledgeable, polite and thoughtful employees. Cleaned up everything, answered all my questions and took time to explain how to take care of everything. No pushy sales person and their price was better than the other companies that quoted me the same products. This was a great experience in all areas. I would most definitely recommend that you give them a call for any of your heating or cooling needs you will not be disappointed. Oh one more thing they are even doing the paperwork and applying for my utility rebate!

Matheson provided excellent service replacing our 28 year old furnace last week. Project Supervisor Chris Downs clearly explained our options and educated us well about current technologies, the installation process and inspection. The installation crew was polite and highly competent. They answered all of our questions and explained how the new furnace will operate differently from the old one. We appreciate their skill and hard work.

We had a Furnace system installed 2 years ago. Today we had our yearly checkup. Trevor Dodge, as always, was so efficient and knowledgeable and certainly pleasant and friendly. We have used Matheson Heating and Air for many many years. They are a terrific company and we would highly recommend them.

I had hot water tank issues. Pilot light kept blowing out at the worst times. I mean who wants to wake up to a cold shower! After the 5th or sixth cold shower I called Matheson. They sent out a Technician (Jared) who was timely, professional, and went through a series of diagnostic steps to identify the problem. We talked about what he found and he wrote a quote on the spot. I accepted the quote and Jared and a helper were on site the next morning! They updated some duct work, added an outside air return and upgraded the hot water heater. They did an awesome job! I will be using Matheson for other plumbing, heating and cooling services in the future!

Jacob did a great job. He took the time to explain repair and maintenance on our water heater. Left the work area very clean!!???? He also replaced two outdoor spigots.Also answered all of our questions related to the spigots.

Devon arrived 10 minutes prior to the service time window I chose, which was awesome. He realigned the slot that holds the furnace fan filter which made me an especially happy customer, as I have been struggling with it for over 5 years since I purchased the house!

We're very pleased with the technician service we've received on-site at our home. We did have an issue with an after hours call; however, the manager was very quick to jump in and rectify it upon being made aware of the problem. It's how these situations are handled that leave a lasting impression on a customer and I am impressed.

After doing research on companies for a new furnace and A/C unit, Matheson was the choice and we had units installed early 2021. Very competitive pricing and professional. We had success with Matheson previously for other heating issues with our last house and were very satisfied.There was an issue with a part on our furnace a few weeks ago and no heat was producing. With a call to the friendly dispatch, Kevin was sent over and able to service the issue doing everything in his power to get us up and running. I would highly recommend Matheson.

These guys flat out rock. I have dealt with them for years and they always are honest about the situation. Yesterday the guy literally pulled apart my furnace to get it working and they only charged me for the service call.

I have been using Matheson to service my heat and cool fo over 20 years. Needed new system and got 3 quotes. Choose Matheson 10 months later and they honored the quote. Their crew replaced everything in 4 hours. They found 2 problems from previous installation. Fixed everything additional at no extra charge.People standing next to the new outdoor air conditioning unit when it starts say, wow that’s quiet.
